Never occured to me to try that. The last time memory was added to his
machine was about 2 or more years ago... Quite possible that something
might have go rattled loose..
Well its at the Apple shop now. Should be interesting to see what they dig

Have you tried reseating the

The “prohibitory sign” shows up on startup and it stay that way. I've done
