Thanks for all the help with Pismo HD compatibility. I decided to buy
the Toshiba 40GB 5400rpm instead of the Seagate 40GB 5400rpm because
the Toshiba has a 16MB buffer instead of 8MB and costs only $4 more.
Don't really know how much difference this makes, but it can't hurt

Yes and no . Some Toshiba's are not compatible with any G3 Powerbooks.
