Keith, About a year and a half ago I swapped the German keyboard in my Pismo against one with an American layout. If I remember correctly, I just ordered it from Apple via a our Apple certified dealer on campus. Whilst I exchanged my Pismo with a TiBook 8 weeks ago I still have the German Pismo keyboard. So if you cannot find a new keyboard contact me off list if you want to fallback on that one.
