I have 2 Li-Ion batteries that I swap monthly in my 400MHz Pismo G3 powerbook, 768 RAM, 40G hard drive using 10.3.5. One of the batteries doesn't lock in place and each time I lug it around between work and home it slips out some. This makes me have to reset the date and time. I had my PRAM battery replaced a few months ago because this would occasionally happen, but now, with this battery, it occurs frequently.

Any opinions or info on the following will be greatly appreciated:

1.) Is swapping monthly a good thing to do to maximize the life of my two batteries?

2.) Any way to fix the latch to keep the battery from slipping out?

3.) Does the date resetting mean my backup (PRAM) battery is bad?

Thanks,

Dan-
