I had been using Help Viewer fine until about a week or so ago, when I found that when I tried to start Help Viewer (at first, from within an app to see its docs), Help Viewer would appear to start up but then 'unexpectedly quit'... The window for Help Viewer would get about where the barber shop pole (striped progress bar) was going, and 'Retrieving...' would appear, but then it just quits.
I've tried searching Apple's Knowledge Base, but no luck there. I've found apparently 1 or 2 others in the Discussion forums had the same trouble under Jaguar, but their suggestions didn't help (trash the Preference file - com.apple.helpviewer.plist). With some further testing, BTW, I found that Help Viewer won't start up under *anything* - under Finder, under other apps, nada(!). Has anyone else run across this problem, and if so, how'd you solve it? TIA, Jim Rohde -- G-Books is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
