Like others I got mine today. I checked it out and it does work, and doesn't get as warm as the one it replaces (though I never thought that one was especially hot). I'd have to agree with others that the styling doesn't seem to match the powerbook. No, its not a major point....the clear adapter just doesn't look like it belongs with the black powerbook. However, the shape of the new one doesn't lend itself to fitting into any of the pockets or spaces in the (Kensington) carry case I've got here...in that regard the other one was smaller and easier to deal with. This one does have a wall cord that stays in the adapter better (won't have to use the rubber band to hold the cord in place as I always did of the other one), but the center pin on the connector that goes into the powerbook on this new one has a bulge on the end that was not there on the other adapter.
