Hi all-

Here's a tough one... I'm trying to get USB printer sharing
working from my G4 (OS X Jag, Airport) to my Wallstreet (OS 9.2.2,
Proxim/Skyline Wireless card). I can go online wirelessly, share
files in both directions, no problem. Both are set up for DHCP, with
Share My Net Connection Over Airport switched On on the G4. Problem
is, I can't get the USB Printer Sharing CP to see my HP Deskjet
connected to the G4. My wife's iBook (Jag) can print to the HP. When
I try to add the HP as a network printer, nothing shows up under the
AppleTalk or Local Network items in the Select Shared Printer window.
Help Viewer gives me the option to set my network neighborhood, but
when I click the link to do this, an AppleScript called Set
Registration Neighborhood runs, the displays a dialog saying "File
SLP Preferences wasn't found". There is such a file in my Preferences
folder, and I even tried duplicating it and putting it in my System
Folder and Extensions. And this is after a clean install. I tried
opening the script, but it's saved as run-only. I thought maybe it
didn't like the name of my HD, but it's one word with no illegal
characters.

Anyone have a clue why I can't get this to work, and why SLP
Prefs seems to be hiding in plain sight, but can't be found???

Thanks!
Marty Lindower
