I would like to use Mail with Yahoo mail but have failed so far. I was able to set up Netscape to get my email from Yahoo, but with Mail It never seems to find my user. SBC/Yahoo provide the address for the incoming (POP) server and the outgoing SMTP server & port. The instructions from SBC/Yahoo are for mail 1.2, but it seems to be the same screens.
I used MacFreePops to port forward yahoo mail to mail.ap It also does hotmail and other web-based mail too. Look for MacFreePop at versiontracker.com. They have a pretty good explanation on the developers' web site.
