Another list member is telling me that if a PC card doesn't show up
in the System Profiler, the System is not recognizing the card.

I have come across numerous reports that contradict this. I've been
told that even though the PC card does not show up on the desktop
**or** in the System Profiler, if you have a compatible card with the
right drivers, it will work anyway.

PC card support in OS X has been anemic at best. There were all kinds
of problems prior to 10.2. I'm not sure it's that great yet.

I know there are lots of list members using PC cards with OS X, so I
would like a consensus of opinion as to whether they show up in the
System Profiler or not. If my information is wrong, I want to get it
corrected.

One of the things I hate about OS X is the variations between favors.
There are some distinct differences in how some things work between
OS 10 and 10.2.x. And other differences in function between 10.2.x
and 10.3.x. So, in case this is one of those "here is works, but
there is doesn't" deals, I'm specifically concerned with a Macally
USB 1.1 card in a Wallstreet II using OS 10.2.4.

TIA,

Bob
