Are you saying that .wmv files play for you in VLC? I get sound, but no video. And for some reason (despite deleting the "Windows Media Player Prefs" file and reinstalling, I can't get any wmv. files to play in Windows Media Player 9 on Tiger. (I know it's not a general Tiger problem, since a friend can play the same files on his Mac with Tiger). It works for me in a Test user account, but not in my main user account (where I have all my files).

Does anyone know of any other Preferences or related files associated with Windows Media Player? Or any other ways to get it to work? Any other alternatives for playing .wmv files?

Thanks,
