I CAN use iTunes with a Wall Street running OS 9.1
However, before I jump in, I just wanted to note that
I don't have, or intend to get, an iPod. I just want
to download to my HD and then add the downloaded songs
to my mp3 collection and burn

I am not sure as to what version of iTunes you're referring to, but I have versions
version 1.3 of iTunes runs on OS 91 and 2. You may find it in the apple
archives.
