I am considering iWork specifically for Pages and it's ability to handle the extended typographic features in some OpenType fonts. Apple indicates iWork requires a minimum 500 mhz, and a G4 for PowerBooks. Does anyone know why, and is there a workaround? I know I can use it on my iMac G5, but would like to be able to use it on my trusty Pismo.

I have Quark 6.5, but it doesn't support the optional glyphs in OpenType, and I'd rather not spend nearly $400 to upgrade from PageMaker 6.5 to InDesign. I use NeoOffice for word processing, and evidently it does't fully support OpenType, either.

I would also appreciate any other suggestions for inexpensively accessing this OpenType feature. TextEdit is a little too limited for my needs.

My Pismo has 1 gig of ram, a 60mb hd and is running 10.3.9 flawlessly.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions,

Dave Bjur
