RE;I think that is good advice if you have to use pay-pal for anything ,however they are not covered by the same laws that protect if you use a bank or credit card.in my opinion just plan on loosing your money with no real recourse,because you probably will eventually.

As for PayPal, I've had problems with them as well, which resulted in my account being "frozen" for a year, as I wasn't going to knuckle under to their extortion. In any controversy, they interpret the evidence in their favor, i.e. to confiscate and keep your money. (Why does a dog lick itself? Because it can.) I'd suggest: (1) DON'T ever keep more than a minimal account balance with them, cause you could lose it anytime; immediately transfer funds from your PayPal account to your bank account if you make a big sale. (2) But DON'T give PayPal access to your bank account; you can link the PayPal account to the bank account one-way, to transfer funds from the former to the latter, without allowing PayPal to tap the bank account.
