Pismo 500 / 10.2.4 / 1gb ram

I have noticed over the past two weeks (note: moved to a new residence) that while my
pismo is sleeping once in awhile, probably every two-three hours, the external,
powered Aiwa sats + subwoofer gives off a burp or a flush of noise. Kind of similar to
the ambient noise made when initially plugging in powered speakers. I have never
noticed this before and never heard it from the laptop speakers. Is this normal and I
have my speakers so cranked up that I invariably hear what should normally be unheard?
Has anyone noticed any sound anomalies while their powerbook sleeps? I have used these
speakers with other systems without problems.

The mention of the bathroom fan's collapsing magnetic field prompted me to ask about
this but I will mention that nothing is being turned off/on when this sound burp
occurs. I am sharing alot of equipment off of few outlets - could that have something
to do with it? In my previous residence, I was sharing more off of fewer outles, so I
doubted that initially.

Thanks for the list bandwidth and help-
