This machine was not mentioned in the original post. CS4 should

Hi! Yeah, I see it but I could have sworn my machine passed the

CS4 doesn't work on your Quicksilver.
Keeping it relatively brief: my Sonnet Tango FW/USB no longer danced/
played well with the others under 10.5.4 (also projecting to 10.5.5

took the RAM in my G$ Sawtooth from 896 RAM to 1.5 GB RAM. It has four slots,
so the first two slots are 512 MB RAM modules and the last tw

I got my G4 733 mHz Quicksilver in early 2002 when they stopped
making it for $1399.
It is still going strong for the most part, and hasn't needed out of
warranty repairs,
all I have shelled out has been for 2 OS upgrades, Jaguar and Tiger.
So ... do the math. This is one affordable machine.
Hi -
Trying to install Adobe CS. I thought I was all ready, have 896 MB of
RAM.
It sez here (http://www.adobe.com/products/creativesuite/design/
systemreqs/?promoid=DRHWP)
"1GB of RAM or more recommended" so why won't the Installer let me
install?
It doesn't say "required."

For under $500 you can pick up a dual 1.8 GHz G5. They are air cooled,
don't have the coolant leak problems of later models. The bus speed is
about 6x faster than any G4, they can hold up to 5 hard drives and 4
GB RAM, the components are easy to get to. They have much better
cooling than G4s. My l
