Hello,
My first post to this group, although I've been a reader of lowendmac
for about four years. I upgraded my 466mhz DA to a 1 ghz sonnet
encore, but have intermittent problems getting the mac to boot. I did
the firmware update per sonnet's instructions, but I had to boot from
a 0s9 disk
I am using a Kodakwho is similar to the Flip and works perfectly
with the Mac. Any camera should be compatible with a Mac, they are all
the same connections, etc. They usually come with a cable that
attaches to the camera and the USB port of the computer for easy
transfer. Or, you use a USB
MY error, I did not mean wireless in the forst sentence.. OK .
Correction: My goal is to do with cables... The wireless is in another
room and I don't want to connect them (cause I could) with wires to
that router-- cause it can work also.

I am considering buying a Nikon Coolpix Touch camera. Has anyone

Also, I am buying my son a pocket camcorder, either a Vado or Flip.
Any comments are either of these?
My wife just got a Flip HD

Thanks, Martin, you were very clear and to the point, and your answer
is right. Thanks so much to be on point on the question. I think this
closes the thread. Other issues are irrelevant.

As it happens,
I have a Buslink model FDD1 I want to use as an external usb floppy
drive with my G4 gigabit ethernet. I can't figure out which adapter to

use this drive and know which adapter to use? Unfortunately, few
makers put the same name
As it happens, I found out how to make this happen in the iMac. the G4
has ”windows sharing among the options, the iMac does not. You have to

I thought the sharing options had more to do with the OS version of

I deduct from what Martin said, that you are right and not right at
the same time. You can find the SMB option in leopard a leopard snow

platform since you need that to be set in order to have the XP access

Good result Ross.
I have the Seritek 1S2 and run a WD Raptor off it in OSX.4.11 which runs well.
You should list your success on the XLR8 database for PCI cards under the
interface type - IDE Serial ATA PCI card and any relevant information.
