Will AppleWorks 6 work on the new intel Macs?

I have a Dual 867 MDD and now no printer software will load. Attempts to add a
printer meet with failure. Drivers load but disappear and are not found. I've
tried two printers a Canon and an HP. I don't know where to turn. I've had
trouble before printing, but nothing like this.

I got into the consoles and found big files. A lot of them had to do with
printing. I had installed the Common UNIX Printing Systems and the installer
was still on the desktop. I installed it again and was able to print. What
should I do to the logs if anything.

I have a Dual 867 Power PC G4 with 2 GB of RAM, using Tiger and three hard
drives. Now the machine won't print. Regardless of what printer I use the
process stops and will not resume. I have never had this problem before. Any
advice?
