If you want to go the extra mile, make sure the router WAN ethernet is
NOT connected to the modem until the modem thinks it has successfully
connected to whatever it is that is upstream of a cable modem. Not
sure this actually matters, but it can't hurt and it's how the cable
company says
I bought mine used 1 year ago and I turn it on and off pretty much
daily. So far no sign of leaking,. But this one has a Panasonic
radiator that was replaced by Apple. It's my favorite DVD ripper and
burner because of the speed. Also I like to use it to transfer CCCs.
