I think I answered my own question. I hooked up the trendnet
and both apple computers. It worked once. After that it seemed to
start and stop. I think I must have created a circle of power or
something because if I turned on one computer,the other came on also.
I am back to using tw
old machine. On this G3 it was 154. The upgrade took care of that.

My computer is now out of panic mode. The article I read did
not tell me to push c if I wanted to install by cd. It said push h
to reset pram if I got that panic error.
I have now reinstalled 10.3. The first time I pushed "install
9 drivers" but still couldn't get 9 0n. Pushi
If I put any cd in,I get the panic error. it's almost as if
the data error is making the cd drive not recognize the cd.

It doesn't matter if I put 10.3 or 9.1 in,I still get the
panic error. I never get to the option of erasing a disc or
installing 9.
