What? I don't think so. It should look for the primary master, then
secondary master for the primary IDE controller. It won't boot automatically
from the secondary master IDE without being told to(cd rom drive)by holding
option or the C key down upon boot.

Cable position will matter with some systems. Some will not like the master
being on the slave and likewise, even using the correct jumper settings.
But, most macs won't boot secondary master or slave unless told to ie-by a
keypress
