I think you mean ECC (error-correcting code).
It probably depends on which model G5 you have. Apparently the dual 2
GHz early G5 can take either kind. Other models may be different.

I know that Apple specifies non-EEC RAM for the G5, but will EEC RAM

Also, my dual 2.3 GHz early 2005 G5 says the maximum DIMM size is 1GB
PC3200, but there are now 2GB PC3200 DIMMs manufactured. Will 2GB
DIMMs will work?
