I don't consider myself very knowledgeable about monitors ... I'm partially color blind for one thing ... so I wasn't going to say anything. In hindsight I suppose I could off up my pet peeve with my current monitor, a 19" Samsung 941BW. When watching some video, it's clear in dimly lit scenes that the contrast is not as good as what I took for granted on my previous CRT monitor. That said it doesn't bug me enough to change. But one thing you might consider in a new monitor is how good a contrast ratio (?) it has.
