PPC G5 tower. osx 10.4.11 no problems
This morning, right now, the image on screen is bizarre... If a
finder window comes up, I can see though the text and if I move the
window around, elements of the pixel image stay put -AND- move -AND
leave trails and the window bevocomes oddly worn-loo

just reset the PRAM and pulled the power cord on the box for 60sec.
no joy.
this machine -was- physically MOVED for the first time in years, over
the weekend. From wha you;re reccomending and what little I found on
line about this symptom, the 'resaet connections" thing resonates.
re-seating the PRam didn;t change anything.
shut it all down,
disconnected and reconnected the monitor connections.
tried 3 times to boot in SAFE (hold-shift-on-boot) mode. first two
hung on Empty Blue-gray Screen
3rd got me up and looking ok. not my screen-color-balance preference,
but wor
