Hi,
How can I safely remove "broken" apps?
I'm running Tiger using TenFourFox.
But more and more apps like Dropbox or Skype aren't supported anymore.

Hi,
I'm not 100% sure what you mean by "safely" remove apps. In general you can
just drag them to the trash and poof they are gone. If you want to make
sure that 100% of the associated files go with them then you can use an app
deletion tool such as appzapper or something similar.

AppCleaner is exactly the thingie I was looking for. But after installing
it when I wanted to enable SmartDelete I got a persistent beachball.
Luckily I was able to force it to shut down. I will give it another try
when I won't have TenFourFox open which seems to use a lot of resources.
They have. Since the beginnings of OSX any software or "programs" are
called apps, short for "applications". IIRC of course ...

I do no longer have newer Macs at home. I used University machines for FCP
into the Intel era. I also have MasOS 10.1 at home. I do not recall ever
calling them apps.
I am old school. To me small programs are "utilities" or "tools".
