Always off line sounds about right, indeed I find the fact that they can

This doesn't make sense, since everything is written to the output window.
It's basically an ongoing text log of everything that happens on the mud.
All you'd have to do is turn on the questinfo channel and any activity on
the channel would be in your output window.
