Yep, I gathered neurofibre is a forest resource, but I've yet to find any patches of forest with it. Does scan reveal resources? I've just been walking into rooms and trying survey, or survey organic, ore etc for different types of resources, when i tried scan it only seemed to reveal nearby

Okay survey org and scan org are the same command, they both look at the current location for the given resource type. Survey on it's own gives a full readout of all resources and wildlife at the current location, while scan tells you about buildings and other activities in nearby rooms.
