Yeah. The best way to make them run on Vista correctly is to open the
control panel, go to users, and disable user acount control, and
restart. After that they will work just as well as they did on Windows XP.

I would suggest contacting the game maker at his website and mentioning this
to him. There's a possibility he hasn't updated them to work with the new
operating system yet. I've found there are many programs
