well it should auto get like on win7 and xp.
Interestingly though after my updates I have found windows in general
to be temperimental at startup.
no sounds, drop outs to the desktop, in the quentin c case on xp
though I got the update loaded windows decided to half crash
explorer, start menu d

I ran into that problem as well, but I have no solution. I rather miss the
playroom, so finding a fix would be welcome.

This happens to me all the time as well. It's easier to just go to the website
and download the update that way.

yes sometimes it does this you just need to get the file it should
appear in your alt n bar automatically.
if it doesn't you need to download it manually I forget how.
