guys,
when you have the time can you checkout the latest version of the
monitoring core from the CVS tree and give it a whirl?
steve has added rich support for solaris (even adding metrics which aren't
available on linux right now).
this new version hasn't been tested on AIX or FreeBSD. pre
gmond is happy on solaris now and i've checked all the changes into CVS.
steve, can you add your latest, greatest solaris.c to the CVS tree and try
it out or mail me the diff (i can't find it.. or i would have done it
myself).
be well

did any of you guys slip this into ./gmond/key_metrics.h ? if so.. what
is it for? it is part of the woes on solaris now and i'm removing it..
unless you tell me otherwise.
That's mine, and it's safe to remove
#ifdef SOLARIS /* Solaris-specific metrics */
foo,
#endif
did any of you guys slip this into ./gmond/key_metrics.h ? if so.. what

after hours of painful tracing using mpatrol i found the heap corruption
.. it's in the register_options() function. i know the fix and i'll get
to it tomorrow.. now i'm going to grab some thai food. i think we'll have
our nice stable solaris support back again very soon.
