are you sure you are using the latest 2.6.0 from
http://matt-massie.com/ganglia/ ? i checked the source and line with
Z_RLE should be commented out. the structure definition should be
removed as well.
maybe your browser gave you the old cached file? i'm not sure.

Thanks for responding so soon. I just downloaded the latest tarball.
"configure" still contains references to "libhttpd" and "test" subdirectories
(non-existent) so I removed them from the 'ac_config_files' variable and
configure completed successfully.
gzio.c fails to compile on Red Hat
woops.
i just went and cleaned all that mess up. sorry.

I am unable to build Ganglia 2.6.0 on Linux or Solaris. The libhttpd directory
is missing from the ganglia-2.6.0.tar.gz I downloaded today. I checked an
earlier version of 2.6.0 I built a while ago and it is there.
