reference, there are significant architectural differences between sFlow's
approach to counter polling and Ganglia's. The libmetrics library export rates

The tarball on Sourceforge appears to have been the same as the tarball
on ganglia.info/testing, but compressed a second time (i.e. a nested gzip).
I've now replaced it with the correct tarball.
