Hi all,

A while ago the issue of reopening the gmetric repository for
contributions was raised, but no decision has been reached (if I
remember correctly). I want to raise this issue again, in hope we could
reopen the repository and add another one for patches to the web frontend.

Personally, I have a few gmetric scripts and web frontend patches
stashed away that I would gladly share. However, I believe posting them
to the mailing list isn't the best thing (are they even retained in the
archives?) and neither is hosting them on some obscure box lying around.
It would be much nicer to have them stored in a central "add-ons"
repository, where users could easily find them.

I propose, as a starting point, that someone be the contact for adding
gmetric scripts and web frontend patches. This person would add the code
to the repositories till we setup an automated system to do this (if at
all?).

Your thoughts?

Thanks,

Alex
