i got a chuckle out of this since that was the "old" ganglia
documentation. i wrote it in docbook and used to convert it to html/pdf
and posted it to the website and distributions.
however, it was harder to maintain than a simple perlpod doc and some
users said they wanted simpler and shorter doc

and the gmond.conf manual pages. However, there is a full-out manual which
I was only able to find on another website
