guys-
i create a new module in the repository called "ganglia-2.6" from the
code in "monitor-core". then i reverted all the code in "monitor-core"
back to 2.5.7. i'm in the process of building 2.5.8 into the new
reverted "monitor-core".

I've been really busy this week with other projects, so I haven't had a
chance to build and test the CVS snapshot on Tru64, Solaris and IRIX. If
anyone else wants to, knock yourselves out. :)
Depending on how Monday goes I'll try to upgrade it then.
We could always release it as beta...

Looks good. I updated the website to use host TN, TMAX to determine if
it is alive, like gmetad does. Works for both new and old (<2.5.0)
versions of ganglia. There are also some better safety checks on the
website against 'division by zero' warnings.

i've just updated the CVS to fix a mutex bug brought to my attention by
Federico.. and added a signal(SIGPIPE, SIG_IGN) to both gmond as requested
by Leif Nixon and added initial support for HPUX as brought to you by
Martin Knoblauch. cvs update would be advised.
