the problem is the the 2.5.x configuration file doesn't have any
information about collection_groups
he default configuration_groups to the end
of the converted configuration file on monday.

files to 2.6 format.
% ./gmond --convert old.conf
would output your old 2.5.x config file into 2.6 format.
