Any chance you can update that gmetad from 3.0.7 to 3.1.7?
I asked some questions about custom web templates a few months ago. I
decided to customize the cluster_view template in 3.1.7.
My goal is to insert a unique text file & bitmap image into the
cluster_view page for each cluster. The text file & jpg are updated
using cronscripts.

Just to clarify, you have 2 clusters one running 3.0.7 and one run
Hi Taimur:
If all your hosts are in one multicast channel, your data_source line
in gmetad.conf should look like:
data_source "test" server1
You could add additional hosts for redundancy like:
data_source "test" server1 server2 server3
However this is not strictly necessary.

You may have a misunderstanding of how gmond and gmetad communicate.

Hi,
I have a fresh install of 3.1.7 running gmetad and webfront tool on

Next I installed gmond on server2. Modified gmond.conf to include name =

Hi Giovanni:
You can try these techpreview RPMs that I've whipped up before the
holidays and see if they work for you. Remember they are *not* for
production use and is unreleased/development software:

Same issue with us.
We are using gmetad 3.1.7. We see occasional XML parse errors from
clusters gmond 3.0.7 & gmond 3.1.2. We've seen the behaviour with &

The XML Parse errors seem to hang up gmetad. It stops collecting from
the clusters & hangs the webUI. gmetad daem
