Matt,
I've also made a gmond startup init script for IRIX (attached). I placed
a copy of the gmond usage statement in the comments, feel free to strip
that, I keep it there for our other admins.

Matt, I discovered that only gmond had been updated when I tested the
setsockopt problem - after installing on another machine I can confirm
that the problem is also fixed for gstat. Sorry for the previous report.
