"Meyer joked he thought about strangling his defensive captain." -USA Today
This is the only mention I've seen of Meyer's reaction. This was supposed
to have been said on the sideline while the game was still going on.
You know, tough as he is, Spikes is still a young guy and it was his fi

Coach Meyer didn't even mention it during the highlight show today. And the
punt-after-the-TD was erased from the reel. But all the highlights I have
seen on ESPN yesterday and today showed it :-)

I certainly hope Spikes isn't punished for the punt, or if he is, it is limited
to something like stadium steps.
I could understand punishing him if the game hadn't been put away, or if we
were a bunch of undisciplined players, but c'mon. These are still a bunch of
kids, and you've gotta let
I agree that the kickoff rule doesn't make sense - but if we tried to do it on
purpose we'd probably not get the call.
I think Spikes built up enough "equity" in the game that the indiscretion will
be forgiven.

First, concerning the rule about catching a kickoff out of bounds:
Should we teach our players to try to have one foot out of bounds whenever
the ball is close to the sideline? I think the rule is stupid. The ball
would definitely have come down in bounds.

Awesome!!!
Actually a stupid question...do ya'all think LSU is as great as advertised?
Other than the win at AUB (which turns out to be a dud team anyway!). All I
am saying is that is LSU capable, next of running the table (till the

We got to see the Gator Walk for the first time this season and Tebow was

When he got near where I was standing, he turned around and retraced his

I hope LSU kicks their butts, then we finish the job and bury them.
Of course, if LSU does kick their butts, then UGaly won't come into our game
feeling over-confident. But that's okay. If they feel demoralized, it should
work for us as well.

Could it be your local newspaper had to go to print before they could include a

Anyway, I think we should jump the inbreeds, but I kind of hope we don't. I'd
rather they go into the game against us feeling superior, so we can kick the
sh*t out of them.

happy. I felt the grip of doubt squeeze my stomach a few times right after the
