Maybe it's a typo.
It's interesting to see Bianchi likes this hire
since he is generally cynical in a lot of his articles about the Gators.
Almost time for Gators basketball. Beat Duke!

On this Thanksgiving weekend, the Florida Gators should feel blessed they got
spurned by Chip Kelly and ended up with Mississippi State’s Dan Mullen as their

Yes, a number of recruits were going to leave the class regardless.
But I disagree. Dan Mullen is not a good coach. IMO we will never be
more than mediocre under him (8 occasionally 9 win seasons) and will be
looking for a new coach in 4-5 years. While he has had a few good

I dont think thats fair Mary. Out offense hasnt been the same since he left.
And miss st has never seen such success. He has two former QBs starting in the
NFL. THREE if you want to add Cam Newton. Look at what he had done with the
level of talent he can get at Miss St.

Well, I can't say I'm particularly excited about the choice, but it's done. I
do think he'll be a better coach than Muschamp or McElwain—at least I've heard
of him—but I worry that we'll win 8-10 games every season, yet never win the

I was really hoping for Scott Frost. If we try to be positive, I’d say that at

well I'm not happy but by the same token I was very very happy and excited to

No one thought all this class would stay to the end.
It could be worse. We could still have McElwain. Or, we could have Kelly,
another self absorbed head case.
Florida has never in its existence hired a new coach before the end of the
season. We’ll get a coach. And, he will be a good one.

I AM SHOCKED!!! We didn't want him 3 years ago when MacElwain was hired...just
another mistake and so far Strickland hasn't done anything to impress me as a

Don’t look now but that looks an awful like our highly rated recruiting class
walking out the door and it looks like Scott Strickland holding it open for

This is a disaster. No one liked him when he’s here, and the hire will be more
unpopular than Ron Zook and Muskrat combined. We’re not renewing our season
tickets after 31 years if Sticklin does this. I feel sick.

Why? I would rather give the Memphis guy a shot, or Taggart, or go after
someone else that’s young and up and coming. Someone who has a shot at being
successful! We know what Mullen is capable of. Sorry... This is a step
backwards, IMO. This is a desperation move that screams we couldn’t
