Hi all,

Bindu has consented to come to Mumbai especially for the next Bombay
Dost Sunday High. There will be a short reading from his nolvel
"Partner" and he will also answer questions on the other two books he
has written. The question-answer session will be mostly in English but
also in Hindi and Marathi.

Bindu donned the hat of a writer, first with "Partner" and now with
the latest "Indradhanu: Samalaingikateche Vividh Ranga', a book that
discusses various aspects of homosexuality from the Indian
perspective. NGOs working in the field of sexuality have been using
"Partner", published in 2005, for sensitization. "Indradhanu" is sure
to be of value to people from various backgrounds especially youth
from LGBT communities struggling with various issues at home and
outside; people from the medical fraternity; NGOs working in related
fields; policy makers; corporates; and media persons.

By training, Bindu is a techie who gave up a career in the US to
return to his country and get involved with issues close to his heart.
Based in his native Pune ever since his return, Bindu is a gay rights
and AIDS activist, and counselor. He runs Pune's NGO for
men-who-have-sex-with-men including gay men, The Samapthik Trust
(http://www.geocities.com/samapathik_pune/). Bindu has been speaking
about queer issues at various forums in India, particularly in his
city.

Hope to see you guys there.
