Feeling really bad about missing all the fun in Bombay.... The Kanheri Trek, the Film Fest... One thing I must say, that the GB group activities are getting culturally richer. Congrats to the organisers.
Watched a few films in last month. Some good some bad... Managed to acquire some Akira Kurosawa gems in addition to the classics Dr. Zivago and Omar Mukhtar. Also watched 'Helen Of Troy' and remembered how we all discussed the Troy. For me, Helen of Troy was closer to the Iliad. Touch of Pink is beautiful... Jimmy looks so cutely innocent and confused....
Some recommendations :
Chasing Amy : Ben Affleck falls in love with a girl, and discovers that she is a lesbian. A beautiful play of emotions.
For A Lost Soldier : Set in Holland with WW2 background. A Canadian soldier falls in love with a dutch kid. No pedeophilia, more of an arty film beautifully presented.
Latter Days : A beautiful coming out story. Love between a hunk ready to bed any guy and a cuty who is aspiring to be a priest. Really worth watching at our film fest.
A Home At The End Of The World: Sadly couldn't get to see the end of this film as the DVD was bad. Coline Farell is the object of everyone's affection.
