Hi, The Bus for the GB Summer Picnic to Kolad on Sunday 08 May 2011 shall depart from the main gate of Sanjay Gandhi National Park, Borivali (East), at sharp 6:00 am. You can board the bus at any of the pick-up locations listed below.
6:00 am: Main Gate, Sanjay Gandhi National Park, Borivali (East) 6:30 am: Gold Spot (Bisleri) Factory, Western Express Highway, Andheri (East). 6:40 am: Kala Nagar Junction Bandra, (At the Kala Nagar/BKC exit of the new Skywalk) 6:50 am: Our Lady of Good Counsel High School, Near Sion Station. 7:00 am: Yogi Hotel, Diamond Gardens, Chembur (East) 7:20 am: Vashi (ST Stop at Junction of Station Road and Sion Panvel Highway) 7:30 am: Uran Phata, Nerul, 7:50 am: ST Depot, Panvel. 8:15 am: ST Depot, Pen. 8:30 am: Amantran Restaurant, Wadkhal Naka 9:30 am: Nagothane Railway Station 9:50 am: Kolad Railway Station All timings listed above are departure timings of the bus so be there at least 10 mins before the listed time. The transport vehicle shall depart from Deccan Gymkhana/Swar Gate at 6:00 am and shall take the picturesque Pirangut > Paud > Mulshi > Tamhini Ghat route to arrive in Kolad. Residents of places as far as the Khed, Chiplun, Sangameshwar and Ratnagiri have to take the 50104 Ratnagiri Dadar Passenger train originating from Ratnagiri at 6:00 am and arriving at Kolad at 9:50 am. Detailed schedule of the train to come to Kolad and return in the evening is at the bottom of this announcement. Contributions if not paid earlier can be paid at the time of boarding the bus Kindly ensure that you carry the following along with you on the picnic: 1. Carry any special medication or food, if you need them 2. Carry an extra pair of clothes including undergarments and socks that you want to change in if you happen to soil/wet the ones you are wearing. 3. Carry your toiletries and towels. 4. Bring along your swimming trunks and sun creams, Kindly not that you should refrain from indulging in any of the following. Failure to do so, you shall be asked to leave the picnic immediately and shall be banned from all future GB events: 1.Litter the place. The ecology of the wilderness is very fragile. Be eco-friendly. . 2.Consume intoxicating items before or during the picnic 3.Indulge in hanky-panky GB, as a support group, has created this comfort/safe space for gays. Many people at the event may be "newbies" (those still coming to terms with their sexuality and/or those who have mustered the courage to come to such an event for the first time).
