g_b NDTV 24x7 on 19th aug

Returned to the good old Bombay for a week from the hot desert sun of Rajasthan. The rain gods received me at the airport with open arms. At home, mom, as usual, expressed her surprise at how dark I had become, and went on to cook my favorite “Pithla –Bhaat”. I switched on the TV and started surfing. 
 
The NDTV 24x7 caught my attention. There was a whole “Special Report” on the Ladyboys of Thailand. Since I had stumbled upon it somewhere in its second half, I cannot comment on it completely, but it was a very well done up film, speaking about the legal and more importantly, the social acceptance of the Ladyboys. From the boys who dress up like girls to entertain the male clients to the boys who go up to the sex change operations. Though I had heard a lot about the ladyboys, seeing a special report on them on an Indian TV was a pleasant surprise. Thanks to NDTV for this report.
