Hej ! The backend optimization in GCC for ppc750 to use floating point instructions for struct copy causes problems in embedded applications. This optimization is tied to the _mhard-float flag. In the OS we use (OSE) floating point is default disabled and enabled via exception at float calculations, to avoid stacking of float registers. We want to use hard_float but want to disable this struct copy and other (?) optimization use of float registers.
