[Bug c++/35121] New: Misleading linker messages - ld: Error: Overflow detected in relocation value;

ld reports this problem when finds undefined sysmbols. 

This has been reported in 2006. Please see the link below:

Is there a fix for that ? Can you suggest a workaround if not.
