Using -fno-tree-dce in combination with any of -O2/-O3/-Os causes GCC 4.4.1 to segfault when compiling the 176.gcc benchmark, more specifically when compiling the combine.c source file. The same occurs when using -O1 -fno-tree-dce -foptimize-sibling-calls.
