When system libraries are removed, ssh.i file links to ssh file:
x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-gcc -o ssh ssh.i -L. -Lopenbsd-compat/ -flto=4
-fuse-linker-plugin -Wl,--as-needed -Wl,-O2
