For the MMIX simulator on a 3.0 GHz P4, "time" shows:
mmix array16.exex 323.47s user 0.01s system 100% cpu 5:23.36 total
So, it *just* above the default time-out at 5min.
Comparing to a *slightly faster* simulator, the

Test passed "Tue Jul 26 21:00:09 UTC 2005"
Failed again "Wed Jul 27 09:56:50 UTC 2005".
This time the host is a x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu; amd64 2GHz, PC3200 DDR.
(no use opening a separate PR; same basic problem)

Hmm, the testcase was added so we could see that we could compile the program
in short time.
