Bug ID: 63382 Summary: gcc 5 breaks linux early bootup in QEMU Product: gcc Version: 5.0 Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P3 Component: target Assignee: unassigned at gcc dot gnu.org Reporter: andi-gcc at firstfloor dot org No debug so far. But a gcc 5 compiled x86 Linux kernel cannot boot in qemu/KVM with -kernel bzImage. qemu always resets and loops directly after starting to execute the kernel image. The same kernel compiled with an older compiler works fine.
