Using GDAL I've made an utility program to rename raster datasets using theire

so they have a consistent naming pattern or to update the name after a SRS

2.I could make it with the GDAL Visual Studio Makefile projects as described in
the wiki, but I like to have the "full project"

Are you using gdalwarp command only for tiling or did you change SRS
(-t_srs) too ?

As far I remember, it is in target srs unit.
So for an UTM output, (meter is the srs unit), so you may specify :
-tr 12500 12500
(note that -tr is used with the X pixel size and Y pixel size)
